On Christmas day, 2014 a group of killer whales (Orcas) ventured into Penn Cove and entertained a group of well-wishers on the Coupeville Wharf. It was so much fun to see these awesome wild animals in their natural habitat. According to the experts at Orcanet, this particular group were Transient Orcas (not Residents) and part of pod T46. There were males, females and a calf or two in the group. What a great place to view the whales and only a few blocks from our front door!
