Free Days at Whidbey Island Parks

Normally, the Discover Pass is required on Whidbey Island to park your car at most beaches, trail heads and state parks.  You can purchase these from the local kiosk in many locations for $10/day or $30 per year.  But every so often they offer a “Free Day” where no pass is needed and you can park for free!  It’s a great way to see some of Whidbey’s beautiful sites and save a few bucks for lunch.

Here are the 2014 dates:   March 19, April 19, April 22, May 11, June 7&8, June 14, August 25, September 27, and November 11. National Park free entrance days include April 19&20, August 25, September 27, and November 11.
