Do you want to dine out?

Breakfast on the sun porch at the Blue Goose Inn Bed & Breakfast

A bed & breakfast is one of the last places in the state where you can still be served a cooked meal away from home. The catch is that you still have to purchase a night’s stay to get that breakfast.  We are still open and serving breakfast at the Blue Goose Inn. We are one of the few businesses that remain open in Coupeville. However some of our services are changing temporarily to take into account new guidelines issued by the state and county health department.  This update is effective March 17 at 4:00 PM.  Were not sure what may be different tomorrow or next week at this point, so stay tuned.  Here are the new changes for now:

  1. We are moving to 100% Self Check-in, to maintain social distancing.  We’re sorry we won’t be able to greet you at the door, but you will receive a door code to let yourself in and written instructions on where to find your room, park and other important info when you arrive.
  2. We will continue to offer our hot, handmade breakfast in the dining rooms, but we are limited to a maximum seating of 6 persons (3 couples) with private tables per seating (8AM or 9AM).
  3. We also continue to offer a lighter continental breakfast, delivered to your room or ready to go as a grab & go.

Of course we will continue our rigorous cleaning and sanitation processes so you will always be assured a safe and comfortable place to stay.  We even have plenty of toilet paper on hand, so there is no need to bring your own.

Local restaurant dining has been shut down in Coupeville, however a few local restaurants will be offering take-out. Please check with us upon arrival for an updated list of what’s available in town. We can provide sanitary utensils, dishes and cups, should you need them when you choose to use the indoor dining area and tables. There also are numerous places in town with picnic areas where you may also eat outdoors, weather permitting.  See the infographic provided by Island County Health for an update on what’s open and what is closed.
