Coupeville is at the center of Whidbey Island. There are three easy routes onto the island; from the North via the Deception Pass Bridge, from the South via the Mukilteo- Clinton ferry, and from the West via the Port Townsend-Keystone ferry.
From the South (Seattle, etc): From I-5 Northbound, take exit # 189 to Mukilteo Board the Mukilteo- Clinton ferry* (15 minute crossings are approximately every half hour). Expect waiting delays in summer, no reservations are available. When you exit the ferry you’ll be on WA 525. WA 525 will become WA-20. At the Coupeville stoplight/overpass, turn right onto North Main St. Turn left on 7th and park – The Blue Goose Inn Bed and Breakfast is on the corner of 7th and N. Main.
From the North: From I-5 Southbound, take exit #230 toward WA-20 and Anacortes. Go about 18 miles and turn left at the Whidbey Island/Deception Pass exit. Travel south on WA-20 to Oak Harbor. At the main Oak Harbor turn right to stay on WA-20. At the Coupeville stoplight/overpass, turn left onto North Main St. Turn left on 7th and park – The Blue Goose Inn Bed and Breakfast is on the corner of 7th and N. Main.
From the West: From Port Townsend, take the ferry* to Coupeville (reservations required). When you exit the ferry, turn left onto Engle Road. Stay on Engle Road, which will become South Main Street. At the Coupeville stoplight/overpass, go straight onto North Main St. Turn left on 7th and park – The Blue Goose Inn Bed and Breakfast is on the corner of 7th and N. Main
* FERRY INFO: Expect delays and back-ups on the Mukilteo – Clinton ferry (from the south) Friday afternoons/evening and all summer. No reservations are possible. Wait times can be 1 to 2 hours.
Reservations on the the Port Townsend – Coupeville ferry are highly advised. The ferry crossing takes about 30 minutes and is scheduled about every 90 minutes.
