ABOUT THE INN
Blue Goose Inn Overview
Two Historic Homes Comprise the Blue Goose Inn
The two neighboring restored homes that comprise the Blue Goose Inn are ornaments of Victorian beauty, matching in both nostalgia and charm. While the pink and blue houses have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the individually decorated rooms and private bathrooms keep the spaces light and welcoming. Watch a movie on a high-definition television, and fall asleep on plush foam or down pillows in your queen-size bed. In the morning, see the mountain and water views from the oversized windows, then enjoy the complimentary Wi-Fi in the parlor over a cup of coffee and a breakfast on the sun porch of sweet or savory goodies homemade with locally grown ingredients whenever possible. After a day exploring the island, return to the inn and enjoy chocolate chip cookies and a board game in the drawing room for a true home-away-from-home experience.
Within Easy Walking Distance
The Blue Goose Inn is within easy walking distance to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants. Our rooms have been lovingly updated and have private baths, comfy sitting areas, cable TV, free WIFI, and spectacular views. The Blue Goose Inn is the perfect mix of history and contemporary comforts, filled with antiques and original art, comfortable amenities, and personalized friendly service.

Why Choose Us?
We know what makes a lodging more than just a bed for the night. We pride ourselves in making sure that your stay with us is a memorable one. Well thought out amenities and nicely decorated rooms without extra clutter have been created with your comfort in mind. We enjoy meeting and getting to know you, but we also know when it’s time to let you relax by yourselves.
Our location is perfect; we’re close to all the shops and restaurants in Coupeville, and centrally located on Whidbey for all your island adventures. It’s a quick five minute drive to our favorite beach and bluff hike at Ebey’s Landing, or to the Keystone Ferry terminal for a day trip to Port Townsend. And Don’t Forget…Breakfast!!
Comfort at our house includes a scrumptious full breakfast for two served each morning at either 8:00am or 9:00am, on our cheerful sun porch. Enjoy fresh seasonal fruits, home baked muffins or scones, juice, coffee or tea, as well as a hot breakfast entree made each day from our collection of tasty recipes. We use fresh herbs and veggies from our garden in the summer, and apples picked from our trees in the fall. We’ll do our best to accommodate special diets with advance notification.
Step Back Into Time…
Step back in time as you enter either of our two lovingly restored historic Victorian homes. Comfortably elegant, both homes are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and rest side by side in the center of town. All rooms are decorated with period antiques, and comfortable amenities such as personal coffee makers, HDTVs and free WiFi.
Relax With Garden Views
When not exploring our beautiful Island, we invite you to enjoy the peace and comfort of the Inn’s common areas. Relax with a cup of tea or sip a glass of local Island wine outside in the gardens. The views of Penn Cove and Mt. Baker are lovely as are the fragrances of the many perennial flowers. We know you’ll enjoy this little slice of heaven as much as we do!
We are firm believers in the need for all of us to do our part to protect our environment. At the Inn we follow many environmental practices, including using eco-friendly cleaning products, using energy saving appliances and lighting, buying local produce, using rain water for gardens, and recycling. Let’s all work together to save our beautiful planet.
We have recently been awarded The Whidbey Green Seal for 2013, our third year in a row, by the Sustainable Whidbey Coalition and the “GreenLeaders” award by TripAdvisor.
