Hooray, the Blue Goose Inn webcam is back on-line! The old camera wore out after taking more than 1.6 million photos and had been in service for about 9 years. It was time for an upgrade. The new camera (Olympus SP-500-UZ) offers higher resolution and generally better performance. The new software will allow better night-time shots and automatically builds a 24hr time-lapse video each day. I currently am testing the new camera with a setting to update a new image every 60 seconds. At this rate, it will reach the same 1.6 million snaps after just over 3 years.
